Send a heartfelt sorry message with a bouquet and a gentle question

Write a sincere apology and send it as one link. The person you send it to sees a bouquet that asks if you can start over, taps Yes, and then reads what you wrote.

A note for you

I am sorry for what I said. It was unkind, and you did not deserve it. I have been thinking about it all day. I would like to make it right, and I promise to listen first.

What is a sorry message on Say Wishes?

It is an apology that arrives as one link. You write who it is for, say what you want to say and choose a color. When the person opens it, they see a small bouquet wrapped in paper and a question: “Can we start over?” Under it are two buttons. Yes opens your message. The other one, Maybe later, is a little shy. It slips away from a finger three times, and the fourth time it gives up and the page takes that as a yes. Then petals drift down and your message appears on a card headed “A note for you”. If the buttons are awkward on their screen, a plain button under the picture opens the message for them. There is nothing to install and no account to make.

When does a playful apology work?

It works best when the hurt is small and the bond is strong. A forgotten call, a sharp word in a bad mood, a missed dinner, a joke that landed badly, a promise you were late to keep: all of these are the kind of thing a close friend, a sibling, a partner or a parent will forgive, and a little warmth helps them do it. The page asks for a moment of play, so use it where play will be welcome.

If you hurt someone deeply, or you broke their trust, a link is not enough. Do not make them tap through a game to read it. Ask to talk in person or on a call, and use your message to say that you are sorry and that you will listen. The page has a calm Rose look and an honest tone for exactly this reason. It never makes a joke of what you wrote.

A text can be read in a second and answered with “ok”. A link slows the moment down a little. The person chooses to open it, and the question gives them a small, gentle way to say they are ready to listen. It also gives you room to say what you mean in your own words, with your name on it, rather than a quick “sorry!” typed on the way out of the door.

How does it work?

You fill in a name, a message and a style, and the page builds a link that holds everything you wrote. Nothing is stored on a server, so no one sees your message except the people you send the link to. The petals play on the device of the person who opens it. If their phone is set to reduce motion, the buttons stay still and the message simply appears.

What should I write?

A good apology has three parts: say sorry and name what you did, show how it affected them, and offer to put it right. Leave out “but”. Leave out “if you were hurt”. Two to four sentences are enough, and the limit is 280 characters, so every word counts. You can start from one of the ready-made sorry messages and change a few words, or read the guide on how to apologize in a message first.

Is it free and private?

It is free, with no account and no email address needed. The message is stored only inside the link you copy, and Say Wishes does not keep a copy. Use a first name and keep to things you would be happy for anyone with the link to read. An apology often touches private matters, so say only what the other person needs to hear.

Other ways to send a wish

If the news is good rather than sorry, try the congratulations fireworks. For a birthday you nearly missed, the birthday cake and candles is a kind way to catch up. At the end of the year, the New Year’s Eve skyline is a good moment for a fresh start, and a Christmas card from the family can follow a year of silence with a warm hello.
