What is a Christmas Eve wish on Say Wishes?
It is a short message for the night before Christmas, sent as a small surprise. You type who it is for and what you want to say, choose a color for the tree and copy one link. When they open it, they see a Christmas tree standing in the snow with its lights switched off, and a golden star waiting at the bottom. They drag the star up to the top of the tree. As it lands, the lights come on one by one, snow falls and your message appears underneath. If dragging is awkward, a button lights the tree instead. Why Christmas Eve?
For many families Christmas Eve is the night with the most traditions: a special dinner, a carol service, stockings hung by the fireplace, cookies set out for Santa and one present opened early. It is also the evening when people who are far apart think about each other most. A message that arrives on Christmas Eve feels timely and personal in a way a general greeting does not. What should I write?
Keep it warm and short. A good Christmas Eve message does one of three things: it tells someone you are thinking of them tonight, it looks forward to tomorrow, or it says thank you for the year. Mention something specific if you can, such as a dinner you will share, a tradition you both love or a person you wish could be there. Three or four sentences are enough, and the limit is 280 characters, so every word counts.
- For family far away: say what you will be doing tonight and that you wish they were there.
- For children: mention Santa, the stockings and how soon morning will come.
- For friends and colleagues: keep it light and wish them a restful break.
Can I send it before Christmas Eve?
Yes. The tree lights up when the person opens the link, not when you send it, so you can share it a few days early. It also works on the night itself. If you want to wait until the evening, set a reminder and send the link then.
Is it free and private?
It is free, with no account and no email address needed. The message is stored only inside the link you copy, and Say Wishes does not keep a copy.
