Send a summer Christmas wish and pull the cracker

Write a Christmas message for a hot day, pick a color and share it as one link. The person you send it to pulls a Christmas cracker apart on a beach towel, and your wish pops out.

What is a summer Christmas wish on Say Wishes?

It is a short Christmas message for people who spend the holiday in the sun, sent as a small surprise. You type who it is for and what you want to say, choose a color for the cracker and copy one link. When they open it, they see a Christmas cracker lying on a beach towel, with the sea behind it and bunting strung overhead. They take hold of one end and pull. The cracker comes apart with a pop, paper bits fly into the air, a paper crown jumps out and your message appears underneath. If pulling is awkward on their screen, a button pulls the cracker for them. There is nothing to install and no account to make.

Why a cracker, and why the beach?

In Australia, New Zealand, South Africa and much of South America, Christmas falls in the middle of summer. The picture on most cards is still a snowy one, which can feel a little far from a day spent at the beach, in the backyard or on a shaded deck. A Christmas cracker is the one thing that belongs to the table wherever you are. You pull it with the person next to you, it goes bang, and everyone puts on the paper crown. This page keeps that moment and moves it to the sunny side of the world.

What should I write?

Keep it warm, short and specific to the day. A good summer Christmas message does one of three things: it pictures the day you wish for them, it jokes about the heat and the food, or it says that you wish you were there. Mention a detail that is true for them, such as a swim, a long lunch, a game in the backyard or the dessert somebody always brings. Three or four sentences are enough, and the limit is 280 characters, so every word counts.

Is it only for the Southern Hemisphere?

No. The card is made for a hot Christmas, but anyone can send it. It works well for a message from a warm place to a family that is somewhere snowy, or the other way around. If you want a snowy scene for the recipient, try the Christmas snow globe instead.

Can I send it before Christmas Day?

Yes. The cracker is pulled when the person opens the link, not when you send it, so you can share it a few days early. In 2026 Christmas Day is on Friday, 25 December. If you would like it to land on the morning itself, set a reminder and send the link then.

Is it free and private?

It is free, with no account and no email address needed. The message is stored only inside the link you copy, and Say Wishes does not keep a copy. Use a first name and keep to things you would be happy for anyone with the link to read. For a keepsake, save the link or take a screenshot once the crown has popped out.

Other ways to send a Christmas wish

For the night before, try the Christmas Eve tree, where the person drags the star to the top and the lights come on. For children, the Letter from Santa opens when they break the wax seal.
