What is a milestone birthday wish on Say Wishes?
It is a birthday message for the big ones: the 18th, 21st, 30th, 40th, 50th, 60th and beyond. You type the age they are turning, their name and your message, choose a cake and copy one link. When they open it, the cake carries their age on a gold badge, with lit candles on top. They tap the button, shake their phone or blow toward their microphone, and the candles go out, confetti pops and the message appears with a headline such as “Happy 40th birthday”. There is nothing to install and no account to make.
Why a milestone page and not the ordinary birthday card?
A milestone deserves to be marked. The age on the cake makes the card feel made for this birthday, and the headline names the number in words people say out loud. The ordinary birthday page is a good fit for most years. Use this one when the number matters.
How does the blowing work?
If the person who opens the card allows it, they can blow toward their device’s microphone and the candles go out. The sound is not recorded or sent anywhere, and the page asks permission first. If they would rather not, the button and shaking work as well, and the message is the same.
What should I write?
Keep it personal and kind. A milestone is a moment to look back and forward, so a good message names one thing you admire about them and one hope for the years ahead. Avoid jokes about getting old unless you know the person loves them. There are ready-made lines for the 18th, 21st, 30th, 40th, 50th and 60th on the milestone birthday wishes page, and each one can be put straight into the card.
Which age should I type?
Type the number they are turning, up to three digits, such as 18, 40 or 100. The badge shows exactly what you type, and the headline turns it into an ordinal, so 21 becomes “21st” and 33 becomes “33rd”. If you leave out the age, the page uses 30 as an example, so check the preview before you copy the link.
Is it free and private?
It is free, with no account and no email address. The age, name and message are stored only inside the link you copy. Say Wishes does not keep a copy, so save the link if you want to look at it again. Use a first name and keep the message to things you would be happy for anyone with the link to read.
